MPG

53.3 MPG from a Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI with 100,000 miles on the clock

Sorry for the 'quality' of the photo, was taken in the dark with a camera phone. Anyway, it allows me to ask the question...

What MPG do you get from your car?

Golf TDI - Short runs around town, generally around 42mpg, mixed use 48-50mpg, long motorway runs >50mpg. The above are figures for the whole tank worked out on a spreadsheet as ours doesn't have the mpg feature on the trip computer - a colleague at work with a similar model with the same engine, but including the trip computer says that his will quite often hit 60mpg on the motorway.

Focus 1.6 - Don't have a full set of figures, but for the usage where the Golf produces 48-50mpg, the Focus does 34mpg.

I don't want to even think! 1.6l Renault Scenic, automatic, used mainly around inner London in traffic. The carbon footprint's about the size of a yeti, but I've just paid £1025 on an engine rebuild I'm not getting rid of it yet!

I've no idea, but anything is better than the amount of petrol I was using up to get to and from work before Christmas! I was filling up three times a week.
