Erm... Not really an apology!

Has it really been 3 months since I put an entry on here? I guess it has. How embarrassing! I guess I've got a good excuse, as our new arrival has been keeping us both busy.

Still, things are calming down a little and we're enjoying our time with him rather than mucking about on the 'pooter.

Having said that, I recently made the decision to at least trial a switch to the Macintosh, away from the Windows world. So, after mucho tinkering here we are, on the Mac.

Things are different but, you know what, they pretty much do just work. There have been a couple of things I've had to do to set this thing up so C and myself could share iTunes and iPhoto libraries with full read/write/alter etc etc permissions but this wasn't too difficult really.

I do like the fact that the OS just gets out of my way but I can delve into unixy-type things if I want to. It is an experiment which we'll be performing for at least 6 months but, so far, I can't see us wanting to go back to the PC for anything.

Hi Garry!

Great to hear from you. I hope that fatherhood is treating you well, as with your new Mac.

Many congratulations on the new arrival. Of course, I mean the baby, not the Mac :-)

My wife wouldn't buy anything BUT a Mac when we decided to get a computer. I'm pretty happy with it for the most part, but it doesn't make me love computers any more than I already did.

Guess I'm just not techy enough to appreciate them fully.

Hope all well with the babba - they sure do change your life!

Glad to see another person joining the Mac fold.

Much to the disappointment of the PC fans at work, even a new XP64 laptop has failed to impress me enough to switch away from doing most things on the Mac.
