Or it could just be the dull work I'm doing right now (tech analyst / project mgr work)... Perhaps I just prefer having some contact with people?

could be worse - you could be 3 weeks into a 4 week multi-project implementation and going home occasionally :-(

...and don't even think of being a Wal-Mart greeter, I have that in mind for my retirement.
