Firefox 0.9

Yay. Firefox 0.9 is finally out and includes a new visual theme as well as data import from IE and a new extension manager blah blah. For the full skinny see the release notes.

It is time people, move away from IE. FF is much better, its a small download (only 4.7Mb now they've chopped away the Mozilla cruft) and supports web standards better and is a better experience all round. I now only use IE for ONE site I go to and that's only because I have to. FF has been my default browser since 0.7 and just gets better with every release.

Oh, one thing though, if you DO install 0.9 and you use Bloglines then you need to ensure you DON'T install "Tabbed Browser Extensions (TBE)" (at least not yet) as it interferes with the Javascript for some strange reason. TBH, I found that TBE slowed down the browser somewhat. All I really wanted was to be able to close tabs by clicking on a cross. A very simple extension called "Tab X" did that for me and was only a 5k download.

Yes TBE was overkill a little. Wizzy to have but I ended up getting very confused by it. Think I will try out Tab X, that sounds useful.
