Aaaaarrrggghhhhhh!!!!

Why do companies do it? WHY?

Why do companies bother putting a job and person specification together for a role then interview (twice) for the role against that spec THEN decide that actually, that isn't really the spec of person they want at all thereby hacking off everyone they've interviewed and the recruiter and then having to start again from ZERO recruiting for a role they've been trying to fill for at least 3 months already?

FFS.

You'd think they'd want to get the person and job spec absolutely right from day one?

Over the last couple of weeks the little drama above has been played out by me and a company that shall remain nameless. I am less than impressed if truth be told, expecially as we put all emigration plans on hold because we thought if this role came to fruition then we wouldn't go for probably another 2 years anyway (it was a good job paying really pretty good money).

So right now we're going to give it a couple of weeks to let the emotional dust settle then make a for-all-time-final decision.

I'm getting kinda sick of having my life jerked around.

Couldn't have said it better myself. OK yeah, it would've meant a move but it would've meant a new opportunity and some good news. SIGH.
