Why is this even a story?
Can I state for the record that I couldn't give a damn what an overpaid footballer has or hasn't done?
Infidelity? I Don't Care.
How this RUBBISH can make its way to be the #2 story on the news bulletins when Iraq is kicking off big time and Bush & Co are proving themselves to be lying morons I just cannot understand.
...and vastly overated to boot, that's the part I can't figure out. A lot of good footballing talent out there waiting to be discovered. All you have to do is look at the England team and wonder, "is that all we have, surely not". I reckon it all comes down to marketing and right place, right time. (On May 29th I'm rooting for Millwall to give the vastly overated Red Devils their come uppance).
Posted by: Kodger at April 12, 2004 10:26 PMIt would be cool to support an underdog team..look at Patrick Stewart (aka Jean Luc Picard); he's a die-hard Huddersfield supporter. But I have no idea who to support to be honest. It's a bit late in the game to start liking football but maybe I will in Canada, when it's not forced down my throat every news broadcast (instead it'll be hockey, heh heh).
